Inter Airport Europe 2021

Going to the largest airport exhibition in the world in Munich, starting 9-12 November under the theme” Runway to Recovery”

Opscom System as is there, in Hall B6, stand 526 together with their partner Tern Systems from Iceland. Also participating at the stand is Avinor, promoting the fact that Norway is one of the few countries in Europe building new airports.

The last partner participating at the stand is Energi I Nord and Bodø Airport Development. They are promoting green, sustainable aviation.

For Opscom, as the owner of a research project (Pilot-T) funded by Forskningsrådet (The Research Council of Norway) and having NORCE as their research partner, it is important to promote the research work being done in relation to automatization and application of machine vision and AI in airport operations.

Participating in Munich is project manager Stian Andre Solbø (NORCE) and Thomas Johansen (NORCE). Also personnel from Avinor, Kristiansand Airport, Kjevik, will participate. This is the airport where the practical research is performed. The project owner Opscom will also attend the event, with Roar Skogstad, Odd Johansen and Håvard Breivik representing the company.

We think this research project will generate a substantial interest, as it is the first of its kind in the airport sector.
